G. Daniel Velazquez

With over 15 years in the industry, earning a bachelor’s in Film and Video production was only the beginning to the wild journey that is a career in the world of ‘gathering light’. Based in Miami, Fl., I was able to jump back and forth between the film world and the television world. Whether loading a 35mm film camera, rigging specialty light fixtures or camera mounts, soaking up all necessary aspects for efficient storytelling was always a priority.

Now, acting as Director of Photography and/or Camera Operator in many broadcast network productions I’ve concentrated on harnessing the true potential of  the camera as a powerful storytelling tool. Working on a variety of projects ranging from documentaries, live events, reality programming, independent shorts, photo shoots or big commercials, I’ve learned to be both meticulous and detailed when the time allows or fast and “run-n-gunny” for when there is no second take! Feel free to check out my resume – (PDF)
